Singer and Songwriter
Colleen Nixon is a singer/songwriter/worship leader whose voice for the past 20 years has graced stages in Nashville music venues and sacred spaces across America. Whether performing original songs, jazz standards or leading worship, Colleen’s gift transcends genres and settings.
After years of vocal training, Colleen, a Florida native, moved to Nashville, TN to pursue a degree in Music (Commercial Voice) from Belmont University. It is in Nashville that her songwriting gifts flourished, and her 2 studio albums of original music, a blend of easy-listening, jazz-inspired compositions, were later recorded. Colleen has 3 additional studio albums as the vocalist for the sacred music duo Marian Grace, which has reached listeners around the world including EWTN, Ignatius Press, and LIFE TEEN. The Marian Gracealbums are featured in Catholic communities around the world having over 1 million streams on Spotify. Since 2010, Colleen has served as the main worship leader for the John Paul II Healing Center at their retreats, where her gift of singing through prayer has led thousands of hearts to a deeper healing and encounter with the love of Jesus. Her voice is often described as “anointed,” “breathtaking”, “like an angel,” and “a taste of Heaven.”
Colleen was most recently featured on the Hallow App with Sr. Miriam James Heidland, SOLT on Advent25 with her song, “Wonder”during the Christmas Eve meditation. She currently lives in Tallahassee, FL with her husband of 15 years and her 5 children. She serves as the Music Director of John Paul II Catholic Church and is a freelance musician as time allows.
